Default Why do "tracker" seacrafts get a bad rap?

I just finished a 76 "potter" now starting my 86 "tracker" SC 20. From what I'm seeing, the trackers were made much better than the potters! Thicker glass, cleaner fit and finish, way more floatation, ZERO FLEX in hullsides where as my 76 had a TON of flex to it, better consoles, better more spacious rigging tubes, and way better job of sealing in wood on hatch lids..... So why the bad rap on trackers? Anyone??
