I installed a square smartcraft system monitor gauge.
Fuel burn with 2 people/full tank and gear (raft, survival suits, fishing gear, 125lbs of ice) 4600rpm is 9gph @ 30/31mph. 4600 is the happy cruise in light chop. In slop it does nice 3800/4000 = 24/25 mph roughly 6.5gph. At low speeds this engine is more efficient than the 2.4L 175. I'm super happy. This is perfect for my needs. If I had to carry bigger loads regularly or wanted more speed, then I would suggest a bigger engine.
