Beautiful 27. I wish...
I still lust after a Z too (pretty sure they suck in snow though). Really hope whoever gets each of them appreciates what they really have. |

Your mouth to Gods ears! Surprised I’ve only gotten a couple of people who inquired about the boat and one guy thought it was already rigged. I guess I need to slap some motors and electronics in it and give a bag of cash with it lol. It’s all good, I’ll finish it up at some point. I won’t give it away, so I’ll get around to it at some point. Would love to see someone finish it up but if that someone is me well maybe that’s God’s hand! Funny, in 1983 my first car was a split bumper 71 Camaro. Went to elementary school with my wife but I’m pretty sure that car helped me seal the deal in high school. Worked full time just to keep back tires on the car, we slid everywhere we went. To this day she wants me to get another one lol

I like it. Very unique hull for the right person willing to put the money into it that would do it justice. A pair of Yanmars would be great power for it and the pockets would keep it feasible in relatively shallow water.
The cost of restoration is what makes most reluctant to commit to the value but the asking price is certainly fair. Unfortunately that is what makes the 27 so difficult to move. Todd’s 27 is a perfect example of the same reluctance as you need a substantial amount of cash on hand to take on such a project with no hope of recovering the investment. This is an unfortunate reality of classic boat restoration.

The value for lenders. When was the last time you fished with an actuary? Aka, we need to get the values up with Barrett Jackson for boats. |

My knucklehead brother was at Turkey Rod this past weekend in Daytona with his REAL 69 Z28 trying to unload it... Figured out dirt roads, Classic cars and Harleys do not work well with each other... ![]() Told him to send the green machine to BJ to unload.. I will have no license and be in jail if he does not get rid of it.. ![]() The best part was showing Lil' Kenny Thanksgiving Day how to really drive a stick shift 302 4 speed Muncie Hurst....

Ah Ken. Brought back memories of powershifting the Muncie in my 365HP, 327 cid in my ‘65 fastback Vette. No power anything, just fast. Anita still remarks about the couple times she drove it!

GM to qualify for the trans am race series took the 327 and used a 283 crank to get the 302 ci mill which qualified for the 305 ci limit. Over square always wins push rod rpm limits. A friend of my brother sold a mint 69 Z for 1200 clams around 1979. Has anyone run the vin and tags to see what you really have there? Boo is correct, that is a rare color combo. I can decode this if you like. Might find a build sheet under the rear seat. Junkyard Jerry had a 68 fastback shell on blocks in the field next door to the shop. I often wondered what it really was. Completely gutted. About 7 years later, a roll off shows up. I ask the driver to read me the vin. R. Not pirate RRR, but Ford R code 428. One of J leno`s friends bought it for 10k. |

Where as I have blown this For Sale thread on the 27 all to hell might
as well keep going.... This Camaro is very original. The engine and transmission and rare BV 4:10 coded rear axle are dead on the numbers and codes ! The build date is 02D and the engine date is V0214DZ. It still retains its original 837 alternator with deep groove pulley, original 4053 carb, 472 intake Original paint to boot .... Yes it is the real deal Sandy ! ![]()
