I see your point.....I will be more careful, my mistake!! We sure don't want the "Mr." to go to his head. However I will be happy to throw the net if he fills my boat with non-ethanol 93 octane fuel.

Don, try not to be to polite to "The Dog"
He will want you to throw the net for him to get
bait...
See ya there, Ken
Hey knock it off Ken thats the first time in many years I've been called Mr, it was kinda nice. Actually I think the last time was when I tried to pick up the cashier at the grocery store

Thanks Don as long as its someplace and I have 2 other leads already - as far as the net we always have snookerd, banana is being kind - wad would be a better adjective

I hate throwing it but I'm good at it, unless Don wants to show me how good he really is I'll let him try

Never said I was good at it, however if you fill my 144 gal tank I can prove I can throw a "figure 8" with the best of them. Oh yeah, the only thing worse than the cashier calling you Mr. is telling you are older than my dad or even worse, you're as old as my grandfather....I hate that.

I second the recommendation for Breakfast at Mangrove Mikes. Very fast, clean and lots of good coffee. Loreli can't be beat for 5'clock happy hour............that's where alot of the fishing guides wind up.

Last several times I went to Holiday Isle tiki bar for happy hour it was not good. Very very expensive. Probably a good spot to see some late night drunken 20 somethings practice their mateing rutual.

Are there any thoughts on a Saturday night get together for grillin and chillin?

I could possibly host something at Breezy palms. They have a great beach setting, pavillion and huge grill. Thoughts????????????????????????????

Quick safety question. I don't have brakes on my trailer. My Volvo has awesome stopping power however the law in the keys may think differently.

I have heard stories of the local police impounding boats/trailers that don't have brakes. Any truth to that??????????

Bryan, I think Fla. law requires brakes on any rig over 3000 lbs. Haven't noticed it being enforced very much, but if you ever got into an accident, it could be an issue. Also, the better your tow vehicles brakes are, the easier it is to jack-knife the trailer in a panic stop! Trailer brakes add a lot of stability during a hard stop. I towed my rig for years without trailer brakes, but adding them made a huge difference in stopping ability. I've towed it over 1400 miles in last couple of years, and I wouldn't consider a long trip without them. If you tow very much in heavy traffic, especially on any sort of freeway at high speed, trailer brakes are cheap insurance against running over some idiot that pulls out in front of you without looking!
