If you took a pic of a mosquito flying through that shop, it would be worth posting.

Where did you buy those seat boxes...

Amazing!!!

That gray is a nice subtle color.
I let Lisa pick out the colors for the boat. It's the least I could do after all the neglect she has been faced with since I started this restore job. BTW if any of you fellas ever want to test how much a women loves you then restore 3 boats over the course of 5 years. If she is still around after all that then you could pretty much get through anything with her.

The face of the bulk head is glassed. The back side (facing to the bow will just get a heavy coat of gel. I guess I could glass it too or paint but I'm getting a little lazy.

The tower is in the shop as it needs some work prior to painting.
Now I know why they call them Rocket Launchers

After taking a good look at yours, you could hire out when the boat is done and do the 4th of July Fireworks display at your local marina.

HeHe...I don't really know how many rocket launchers there are on that thing....I stopped counting after 10. I'm not too excited about the way the rocket launchers are designed...sitting way up there with the bottom welded to the pipe. I think it looks ugly....but it will be functional and it's very well built...good welds and sturdy. I'll probably have some things modified on it down the road but for now I'm gonna throw it on the boat and see what it looks like. I did not really want it when I bought the boat and was going to leave it behind.

Just my 2 cents here but I would suggest you leave the tower off the boat, or remove the "launchers" and just use the arch. After so much excellent work done on the boat, and how beautiful it's looking, that thing would just detract from the total package and make it look tacky, like you "Bubbaized" it!

incredible! I am amazed by the beautiful quality and the phenomenal speed of your work.To see that level of craftsmanship is unbelievable.
I think you should start building custom Seacrafts, and rebadge them as "STRICK CRAFT"

You could be to Seacraft, what Jack Roush is to Mustang.

Fabulous work, puts mine to shame!

Something to think about. This hull is sensitive to weight up high. You might want to put it in the water, test how it handles and then put the tower on and test again. I work with a guy who owned one years ago. He put on a big tower (with steering station) and said it was a bad idea. When he was in the tower and made a turn, it leaned over so far that he felt like "you could kiss the water's surface". The tower weight was enough to affect stability even with nobody in it.

Thanks fellas for the nice comments and valuable advice. I'm gonna see about having it modified. Need the radar arch for sure....the visor part and the rocket launchers I'm not too sure about.

You could kiss the water surface, even in the captains chair. I grew up thinking this boat was unsinkable and self righting with all my Grandfathers and uncles stories over the years. I think I have told a few of those stories on this board. It was only after finding this site, that I started to think otherwise. I used to purposely lay the boat on her side, just to touch the water from the captains chair, for kicks. It seems foolish now but not when I was a teenager. Anyway I could never even make her cavitate with all that foolishness. A high tower with helm would make a difference but I dont think Stricks tower will make too much of a difference, especially if he removes 53 of those rod holders

I always wanted a radar arch. The boat does need a place for the antennae for the toys. If I ever get any of those toys, I'll have to find an alternative as I will, one day, move her to Nova Scotia(that might be soon as I just bought a trailer) and I have one low bridge at high tide on my river and want to be able to use the boat in any tide.

I think she looks sharp with the tower. Looking forward to seeing her with the windshield on.

Brandon
