Re: Here We Go Again
Still plugging away here. Thanks for all the encouragement fellas. Using Vinylester for everything still.
Heres George sanding off the red bottom paint for me. In some places there is lots of blistering in the gel coat. Taking a look into the fuel tank for metal shavings. first layer of fairing compound over the notch. Another angle. Theres Tim in the back cutting glass for his swim platform. Note the beer in the foreground. Prepping the Aluminum fuel tank for primer. It was sanded down and cleaned with denatured alcohol. It was sunny outside so the boat came out for a brief photo op. Showing off her pretty lines. strick

Re: Here We Go Again
Strick, I've been tracking yoour progress and it's all looking great. Keep up the good work. I did notice the beer in the foreground as well as a butane tank. Did you have a crawfish pot attached to the other end. Where I'm from that would be the obvious.

Re: Here We Go Again
Looks real good Strick. Keep the faith. At least you've actually finished a project. I have like 6 unfinished projects looming over my head right now. I feel like a one legged guy in an azz kicking match.

Chuck - nice to see you back on the project, it was quiet there for a while. Something caught my eye on the tank inspection - hmmm, looks like an endoscope to me, Olympus maybe? They are wonderful for little things around the house, just a little pricy though. D- |

Re: Here We Go Again
Beau- The tank was hooked up to a propane heater. We have crawdads here in calif but they are not as popular as they are in the south. Probably because most of the folks out here are the liberal/yuppie type used to eating hummis pie with alfalfa sprouts on the side washing it all down with a carmal lattae (sp?) I Used to catch them in a local creek as a kid and they are good. I think Spidercrab lives in your neck of the woods maybe he will chime in here and give us a some good crawdad recipes.
The head of ClassicSeacraft and ClassicMako responding in back to back posts...The big wigs are watching!.... I do feel privileged gentleman! I better not screw this thing up! that is I better not screw up again! Trayder- Tim is doing good now that I've taught him that you have to add catalyst to your resin! Oh and remember to measure it Tim no more guessing! Chaos-welcome to the site. What boat are you redoing? if it's a SeaCraft get that thing over here ASAP beacuse we are lacking SeaCrafts in this neck of the woods. Makos are welcome also. Dave- Yes it's an Olympus pediatric endoscope. I think I use it more on boats then I do on horses. It's great for looking into the tubing of your t-top. The boat will have to sit for a few days. Going to a conference in Vegas to get some CE out of the way. Wish I could take it with me. Strick
