Speaking of Don's elixir, I think I'm ready for it! Thought I was going to have to cancel the trip earlier today . . . about 0200 this morning, my wife pulled out her feeding tube, for the second time in 2 months! (She has Parkinsons Disease pretty bad, so has trouble swallowing meds and with full dentures she doesn't eat too well either, so the tube helps us give her meds and keep her fed and hydrated.) Don't know if it was dementia or her bipolar disorder acting up, or maybe it's just because she's a Democrat! Anyhow, we got her to the ER about 0300 where they installed a temporary tube and got back home about 0500. Got to see the gastroenterology doc about 1100 who said he could put in a new tube tomorrow morning, be there at 0500! Fortunately our daughter who has been staying with us and helping take care of her, said she could handle it while I work to get the boat ready. I was so PO'd about the whole deal and in such a foul mood, I thought "Ya know, I don't think you'd really want me around here this weekend anyway!" And I sure as hell need the attitude adjustment that these gatherings always provide! So look out guys, I'm all in and ready to blow off a little steam! I'll have some fine Ky. Bourbon (but none of the Pappy Van Winkle that's gotten so scarce after folks found out about it!), but Don, I'm sure a sip of your latest batch will really hit the spot! Denny

Denny-that sounds very difficult! You are a saint! i'm sorry to hear all the things Pat is going through. With Susan helping as well as she does, you deserve to take a break and enjoy yourself! I will be ready as well...without the family.
