The vents have a pvc 90 and some pipe extending up a bit into the spaces. Theyll double as a place to route drain hoses from rodholders/cleats/cupholders etc. I holesawed the skin on the backside and took the core out, then glued in a disc of 1/8” thick or so glass just to get more thickness in the front skin for the holes. Got a g2 150HO waiting here since before the french canadian cowards pulled the plug. Standard bracket, no integrated steering to save a few pounds. I have plans to throw an extra battery up under the big bomar hatch up front if need be... i feel like ive got enough fuel and water forward but we will see... |

Looking good Chris! Do you have any chaffing protection in mind for the bow or just the small toe rails in place? I had the standard 18" SS ones bent by a machinest to match the top deck curve.

Not really chuck... the cleat is super far forward so i dont think itll need it. Rubrails pretty thick too so thatll help keep it out too.

Don't know how I missed the door transplant! very cool...I was thinking that this boat probably the coolest restore I've seen here and from what you had to work with in the beginning it really is an understatement to say that you are highly skilled...
I'll take the number 6 spot please lol strick

Yes Dirtwheels is Skilled
Yes Dirtwheels is highly skilled, creative, an artist, a maestro- the superlatives go on & on. I have had the pleasure of seeing his progress personally a few times. On one visit he wasn’t there yet so His friend at his worksite chatted. He said he saw Chris on a step ladder staring at the boat. What are you doing? The answer was something like just imagining or creating!
