So now I'm starting to feel a sense of making some headway. Finally got the new console up on boat and formulating a final plan for boat. I'm going to keep it simple for now and add upon once the kinks are worked out of her.

I believe they are LD Marine. They're the most heavy duty rod holders made. The commercial tuna fishermen often fight 1000 pound fish out of those rod holders using 40-60 pounds of drag.
