I knew it !
I'm checking everyday, here and at your site, wondering if you done the deal - figured no news was good news (being that you're wicked superstitious), so I wasn't asking.
Congrats John, that looks like a sweet rig, if anyone deserves an old SC it's you.Twin 235's, you are gonna take it for a run before you yank them off aren't you? It must fly!
Good luck with it - see you in Rhody (vaca week 7/19 - 26 this year)
Bill

Awesome! Congrats John - she looks like she is in fine condition - get rid of the teak, throw an engine on and you are ready to go! I am going through the same project as we speak with a '77.

Real nice looking craft!!!

I wonder if there has ever been a SeaCraft bought by a person more aware of what is out there in the Potter built SeaCraft market?!

With all the "finds" that John has passed on, and the possibility that he will be spending just a bit less time on boattrader.com, who shall we turn to for info on the second hand market now??

Congratuations, I hope you get many years out of one of the best riding boats around/

Just in time for bass season! I hope you
catch a 40 pounder this year. I'm sure
your son will love the boat also. Congrats
on quitting smoking! Shoot me a email if you
need anything.

Thanks again guys.... It seems to be a decent balance of what I want. Structurally all there but enough "project" stuff to warrant a decent price...

Mark - please don't confuse me with being an expert. All I've done this year is pass up on boats I can't afford or havr time to work on. I just wanted to find the best balance for me. The fact that it happens to be a dagnasty Potter Hull and that being in FLA does not have the Mass or Rhody 25% import tax is enough...

Seafari - I'm gunning for 60 pounds - fishing from WH & Cutty to Block & Fishers (how far are you from Montauk & Fishers?)... My goal is still to get a 50 pounder Striper from the beach and an 80-90 pound RoosterFish ....

JohnG the engines are twin 235's - that's why they will go... want one?

Otto - thanks for the encouragement.

I like "Surfcrafter" by the way thats a great name !!
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I like it too. Wraps together Seacraft & Surfcasting - funny thing is, one of the boat's missions will be to go to Cuttyhunk so me & a couple friends can rock hop & fish from the boulders - then hit the holes at first light, combine two great pleasures!

John, don't you mean two THIRSTY five ? That boat must move out with those on engines on there 60+ ? If I remember right they are very thirsty engines. I don't think I could feed those baby's unless they ran on salt water. Your going to have fun with that this summer!
