Fellow-Ship

No It was some kind of Polycarbonate plexiglass.....He said that the lexan does not bend as well and is more suited for flat panels.....Also said that the lexan would scratch much more easily than the other and that I would not be happy with the result...at least not for this application. He did say that I would be very happy with the other.

At first he wanted me to try to find someone up here to fabricate it....as the shipping cost was high....my problem is I cant find anyone to do it at a reasonable cost.

WEST PALM BEACH PLASTICS I spoke with Mike the owner The number is 888-776-7720

Oh that piece that wraps around the console/ gauges and is about 3" wide that was $95 (due to the length of it)

Tell me if you hear different.

Scott,Idont remember exactly but it was around 300.00. Its all 1 piece, three eight thick, quarter inch flexes to much. Its pretty tall so I wanted it strong. Its roughly 3 ft across front, about 2.6 tall in the front and the bends back are about 10 inches on the bottom. The guy did a great job. I broke 1 when I was pulling my anchor the rope guide on the bow came loose, hit it square in the center and shattered it,yes I was discusted.sorry I took so long to post, been fishing.RS

HA SCOTT
I HAVEN’T HAD ANY PROBLEMS OTHER THAN MY OWN ABUSE ON LEXAN WINDOW SHIELDS. FOR ME A BOAT IS THERE TO BE USED AND IF SOMETHING HAPPENS WELL I GOT SOMETHING TO FIX IN THE FUTURE. THERE IS SOME COMPOUND YOU CAN BUY TO TAKE THE SCRATCHES OUT YOU CAN GET THAT STUFF FROM WEST MARINE. OH BUY THE WAY TODAY I CUT UP SOME LEXAN FLAT PIECE TO USE AS A SLIDING WINDOW FOR MY INSTRUMENT BOX. IT CUTS REAL GOOD AND I HAVE USED IT BEFORE FOR THAT PURPOSE.

RS and Fellow-Ship

Thanks for the info…… If you have the number to the place in Miami could you post it...I would like to talk to them....I think we determined we both have the larger console (and I know Fellow-Ships console is the same as mine)...you really went high with it....that a foot taller than mine...and I'm sure that 3/8" material added to the cost.....
Is that screen manufactured out of Lexan???

Oh yeah……You can answer when you get back from Fishing
