$85 a pair? that is absurd! When I had mine done by a very good sign maker, I think it ran something like $10 for both of them and they were impeccable - I missed the all white look and took them off a month later though. I didn't get the swirl redone, but the actual SeaCraft logo took him about five minutes to do with a computer driven vinyl cutter (a huge industrial strength looking thing) and a rubbing was all he needed in order to get the typeface and size correct. That $85 figure is outright gouging.

That swirl was actually available on the new boats about two years ago, so a dealer may have something in a drawer somewhere.

Another alternative is to call your local bassproshop, my local one has actually been rather helpful in getting me the transom plate with the SeaCraft name on it and any other needed parts. Ask nicely and they seem willing - DON"T go on about how the old ones are better

I know that this is a little off of the subject, but in 2000 I went to purchase the new style emblems and had a hard time doing so. The reason was that you had to have a hull # that was of the newer hull before they would sell them to you. They said that SC didn't want people to use the new style emblem on the old hulls. As a result I just got a serial number off of a new hull at the boat show and backed it up several numbers so that the boat that had the # that I had come up with would of hopefully belonged to someone rather than being new on the showroom floor. Well it worked but I sure did have to go through a bunch of BS.Have any of you guys ran into this same problem?

There use to be a member (SeaCraft salesman) that could get the decals .....but he moved on to bigger and better I guess... However for me and as mentioned above a couple times .... going for the clean sides "mystery boat" thing .... separates the men from the boys when someone comes up and either knows the boat or not

there is a really cool "SC" "swirl" that is part of the decal, that you do not see anywhere anymore.
Are You talking about the 2 waves interlocking in a square ?
I'm not sure if "Rick" has them but I can get them to Him.
