Hi guys, I'm new to this forum but find it as great as Classicmako.com. Although I don't run a Seacraft I admire the older models for this quality and design. I stumbled upon this site a while back, and used info posted here to help me restore my 16 center console sportcraft.

Now down to business. My Grady White used to be power with those motors, although my motors had the 4bbl carbs and pumped out 180 hp each. Two years ago I pulled those motors and dropped in two Cummins-Mercruise DTI Diesel I/O's, and the boat performed like a champ. 23 kt cruise and 30 kts in the corner, and my Grady is a LOT more boat to push (cabin, weigh etc, etc,) then that this Seacraft. Although those 470's look like they're in near mint shape, and the boat probably gets very good fuel economy I could only imagine what benefits twin little diesels would do for it.

I wish I didn't have my current Grady, I'd buy this boat.
