I've been to yucaipa many times. I'm on the other side of the mountains from you. Next to Hesperia, near Victorville. My kids played basketball there.

Hey little minnow, I import and make fishing gear all for big game. I fish Mako shark, Marlin, tuna ect. My new prodject is to try and catch a swordfish at night. If you want next year I'll take you out to the best shark grounds I know of. Mako, thresher and maybe billfish.
I don't know how many boats on the west coast but if there is enough, I'll sponser a west coast gathering. Catalina run?
My other hobby is working on boats. If you ever need to work on your boat, I have a complete shop just for that. Set up for any machine shop wood or metal and even glass. Your more then welcome to use it if you need.

Fishing in this area is bad to lousy right now. A few salmon on the outside of San Juan Island, so you have to be willing travel 35-40 miles to have a chance for (1) one fish. I was out w/couple friends yesterday, not even a bite for salmon and all we caught were a couple of sand sharks(dogfish) and a few small Lingcod, which you cannot keep. If one wants salmon, you have to travel up into Britsh Columbia, Canada. They manage thier fishery so much better than WA state could even dream about. If one wanted to catch humpies,(pink salmon) then the Everett area 80 miles south of us has a few, but I would not waste a gallon of gas to get one, they are just a junk fish, the roe (eggs) are worth more than the fish. We keep hearing that the fish are late coming in.

Gary, I'm thinkin you need a Cabo run to cheer you up. Long way to trail a boat but what an adventure.Worse day of fishing there is better then the best day in WA. I'm taking my seacraft down next year.

You got it. I'll set you up with some buddys also. I'm serious about La Paz or Cabo. If any of you know about Vagabundos del mar. A group that used to and may still drive in groups to Baja. For saftey and so the old guys can teach the new guys the ropes.
My favorite thing to do is fish light line. Not for records but for the love of the game. 50lb Dorado on 5lb. I love a three hour mako fight on 10lb and Tag he's it!

They are in RioVista which is about 30 minutes north of me. A very good outfit. Big Mike what town are you in?
