1) Put your cans in the garage.
2) Buy new cans with tops that latch down.
3) Build a trash can holder with a top that holds the cans in place.
4) Shoot them with a 20 guage and throw them in the can.

Forget about the racoons, I here the schoolie bass are in Falmouth, MA, so I'm assuming CT must be starting to have a few schoolies! Herring have also been seen in Brewster. The season is coming!

Yep - holdovers dropped out front in Rhody almost 2 weeks ago, herring are in the runs (not that you can take them anymore in CT, RI, MA) and I suspect first Rhody keepers will start with some consistancy in 3 weeks....

Game on...

Thanks for the fishing report John! I am trying to get my boat ready to splash sometime in the next 2 weeks, in case we get some nice weather. I haven't fished with herring, but a lot of guys do and are quite upset I'm sure over the ban on taking them. So how's the raccoon problem! I am having more trouble with my cat. Dam thing keeps getting up and in the cabin on my Grady White. If it was someone elses I would not be so nice to it!!

Coon & Kraut

Ingredients

1 Raccoon (cut into serving pieces)
1 Pound Sauerkraut
1 Medium Apple (diced
) 1 Medium Onion (diced)
1 Tablespoon caraway seeds
6 Pack of Beer

Directions

Salt Pepper Flour Coat the coon meat in flour, salt, and pepper. Brown in olive oil. In another pan, sauté the apples and onions in olive oil until their tender. Drain and wash the sauerkraut and add it to the apples and onions along with the caraway and enough beer or cider to simmer the sauerkraut. Drink other beer's from six pack while you simmer this stuff for about 20 minutes. Mix in raccoon pieces and place the entire mixture into a roasting pan and place in the oven at 350F for 3 hours, adding beer or cider as the mixture begins to dry out.

I usually leave the apples out & cut down on the caraway seeds.I add a lil' of My Hibernero Dust that I make. Just adds the Humf to it!
Enjoy !!
