I may have missed this but is that a mahogony wood dash? and did you use the original vents on the hull and just paint them? That dash really looks sharp

Very sharp looking boat - dash included especially with that sweet ass Raymarine display. Which one is it and how do you like it?

The sweet ass display is a Raymarine E120. Got it hooked up to Radar, FF, DVD, and NMEA 2000. I personally think this is the best MFD on the market which is why I picked it.

Nick, I got my electronics at BOE Marine, they have great prices and customer service but the owner is a goofball

I haven't had to send anything back yet though.

The wood on the dash is 100 yr old Mahogany. My neighbor had it in his garage from a house he tore down like 10 years ago. If you think this side is pretty you should have seen the other side! I had a big enough oops over there that I had to switch to plan B. There was no plan c so thankfully I got it right the 2nd time.

The wood for the glove box is the original teak that came on the boat.

The hull vents were yeller when I got the boat, the only yellow painting I did was to the outboard because I knew I couldn't match the gray, and to the underside of the t-top. The hull was all done already.

They are the originals, just painted though. Thanks for all the compliments.

That is one sweeeet looking ride. I have one question. What are those vents for on the port and starboard bow? Do they really serve a purpose?
Thanks
Alex

Yep awesome job Jim!!!!! A question for you about the mahogany- I have several 6 ft mahog boards anfd was thing of doing something similar on my dash- how did /or did you laminate them together or was it one solid piece ? great job again dude- she looks sweet!!!

Acasey- fthose vents are forced ventilation down the outside pockets ( outboard of the stringers- there have been discussions on their effectiveness on here before. In addition to those i have bilge blowers pulling air inboard of the stringers as well- make sense?

Miles, it is one solid piece. I have always been told yo need to laminate teak if you are going to go the teak route, bt Mahogony is stable enough to be one piece. Plus I epoxied the heck out of it so hopefully it will be ok. Check back in a year
