I forgot to weigh the buckets, but UPS from florida to va was $21 per bucket. I am gonna guess the new transom is gonna be around 100 lbs.

Been a few weeks, got paid last week with boat monies to spare after bills, and finally a decent weather day off work for glass work. Got almost all of the interior glass work completed just before dark tuesday night and been at work since. Overtime is paying for this work. Got about an hour or so of glass work to finish inside then I will be sanding the exterior smooth and filling in divits before I paint it sometime next week. I am ordering a 18" bracket from stainless marine because by the time you figure out prices for add-ons its cheaper than the other company I checked earlier. 18" bracket should be good to still be able to tilt the motor and not be to stern heavy, in the future I will be putting a jackplate on it so that will add about 4" more. I will add some pics tomorrow.

Pay no attention to the sharpie drawings on the transom, I know they are wrong I was just figuring when I made those. The discolored areas around the edges is the original fiberglass under the new fiberglass. I also have a layer under the old glass going about 2" below to tie everything together.

Bait well/storage hatch. Im probably gonna put a piece of clear plexiglass where the vent scoop was over the bait well and rod holders where the two outer vents were. After more scientific mathmatical equasions, it looks like the bolds to hold the bracket on will be in side this area and not below it. So when I order the bracket I will have to see if they can give me carriage bolts instead of hexhead bolts. Thats not snow on the ground, Had to remove the wet balsa wood from the gunnel cap at the transom and grind it out to prepare for new wood, then I figured while I was all glassed up I might as finish leveling the transom. So now hopefully all the major grinding/sanding is done for this step of the project except filling in divits that I ground on the transom where previous holes were.

just some small spot and menhaden, menhaden don't do well in any live well so I know they are not gonna do well. Later down the road when I rework the stringers and raise the floor I am gonna put a larger well in the deck.

Well, that size and shape will be fine for throwing your frozen bait in or keeping some shrimp alive, but I wouldn't look for it to do very good with anything else.

Menhaden need round or oval, no square corners. They won't live long at all. I spoke with Don Herman about this as my bait well also has square corners. He suggested splitting large (3" or 4") sch. 10 pvc pipe in quarters and glassing them in the corners.
