capt_chuck,

Super! Really Nice. What is the green material bordering the louvered doors, and is it the same material that is around the switches and some of the instruments?

Yeas all the same except the gauge tray is fiberglass. They were cut from PVC board and applied with 4 coats of 2-part urathane paint.

Chuck, that helm came out incredible - very "Palm Beach".
Don't know if you remember meeting at the 2004 rendezvous in Newport; I've got the '78 Sceptre "Water Rat". Was thinking of redoing the helm on my boat in similar fashion. Question, what type of stain and coating did you use to obtain that color and look?
Thanks,
Chris

Hi Chris

No stain. I used 4 coats of Signature Finish "Honey Teak" Sanded with 1200# Wet/Dry after and buffed out with 3M "Perfect it"

Here's the URL: Honey Teak
