If using Kayak go through Barnstable village on 6a north and take a right on scudder lane--follow to end-park car and launch kayak and fish the incoming tide. The stripers will be coming into the flats at that time of year. You may also be able to get a weekly shellfishing license which at the same area provides the best shellfishing on the cape.

I live in Yarmouth and you can catch all the stripers and blues you could want without leaving town, especially at the end of June. Mornings and early evenings off West Deniis Beach and any of the south shore beaches will produce blues and small to medium sized bass. The Bass River is great that time of year. The entrance to any small river, like Swam River in Dennisport, holds fish. The south Cape beaches hold fish all summer, but as the water warms, you really have to fish at night to hope to do wel. The other spots are all great too, Chatham, Barnstable Harbor, and Scorton's too, but you should catch plenty of fish right in town too.

Well, time flies like it usually does, and vaca. time is upon me. We'll be heading up to W.Dennis this coming week, so if anyone has any updates/trends on local fishing, any info will be much appreciated. I can't wait to get out in the yak up there-but if anyone is looking for good fishing company on his SC, let me know
