Re: hatteras NC
well between being stuck at work like a trapped rat my whole life
and the weather never cooperating for some fishing on my days off this trip is officially cancelled. hours upon hours all year long prepping gear, making lures, rigs, rigging boats and when the time comes to use them you can't. just plain sucks weather will staighten up next week when there is no chance to get out of work to go and fish. how long do you wait in life before finally saying I can't do this any more I am too old. maybe someday soon I will just become a bum and wait for good weather days, and go out and have some fun. arrrrrrg |

Re: hatteras NC
i totally understand you there and you are definatly not the only person with those problems. but just relize that it cant get much worse, and when things change they can only be for the better or funner. good things come to those who wait. patientence is a virtue grasshopper

Re: hatteras NC
I think you’d be fine. I was in Hatteras from Sep 12-19 and the weather was good all but one day. On Tuesday it was slick as glass coming in around 4:30pm. We were in my friend’s Proline 251, but my 23’cc would have done just as well, and used less fuel.
We started off going out to the rock pile, but as the week went on, we caught more fish closer in. The best we did was around the 140’ mark. Trackers and Stubby Bubblers over ballyhoo and neon green or pink Stretch 25’s did the trick on the wahoo and (short) tuna. On the other side, we were in Salvo during the first week in May and couldn’t get out of OI a single day. Even the sound was rough. Some you win, some you lose, and some get rained out. Trey
