Is it a good idea only if I'm going to keep it or also a good idea if I sell the Seacraft?

I would just sell the hull and trailer...that motor is not going to add that much value...more than likely new owner will repower or raise transom to 25" or even close and add bracket anyways.

Depends how old your 115 is, but having the Sceptre powered is better either way. It will be more likely to sell now with a running motor. If your baby is the Hewes resto you'll likely be re-powering anyway. I don't think too many fellas in Matagorda Bay are looking for a summer project... too freakin hot.

If I were in your shoes I'd buy it from her it and keep it. Put your 115 on it and sell the 150 evi for parts or whatever. That way you have a nice runner while you restore w/ the Hewes. No stress in your rebuild time frame. You'll probably fall in love with the Sceptre. Nothin like having a classic flats boat next to a classic SeaCraft.

Many like the thought of runnin` a boat. Not the time and love it takes to pull it off.

Currently fixing things,

It's for sale, boat, motor and trailer, for $1500. If it doesn't sell, it goes in storage for sometime in the future when it's time for another project. If it sells, I'd rather it go to a Seacraft aficianado who will restore it. I'd recommend she take a lower price if one of you guys wanted it.
