One other really nice benefit to the boat is in 2008 it had a 93 gallon aluminum tank installed. It currently has a pie plate to see the sending unit with an independent fuel gauge there, which I love having the redundancy there. However whomever installed the fuel tank also installed the rocor filter there under the hatches where you have to remove the sealed hatches to access them. So this will as well be re-located.
and dont forget the guy also put a nice kink in the fuel line!

ya before I relocate the rocor, I'll take pictures to show the sweet fuel line job. There are about two kinks in the line. And probably two splices that shouldn't be there.

Just traded in 2006 etec 225 and never had any t-stat problems thats news to me. The motor had 2072 hrs when i traded it in. Only major thing that let go was the fuel pump at 1500 hrs.
7 year warranty was up so i had to let it go. Motor ran like the day i got it. Good Luck, Jay definately let a good one go.

theres a rule of thumb that people on the cape have been telling me. Replace the water pump and t-stat every two seasons. I'm thinking the codes were a fluke incident. And potentially related to an operator running through some sand or some seaweed.

Nice Sceptre. Was that the one Jay was selling in Hyannis? The forward bilge pump is probably due to the Sceptre's slight bow-down attitude at rest with a single OB. My father's '82 had one up front for that reason. No bulkhead or anything blocking water flow to the rear, just water would run forward at rest. If you're keeping it on the trailer, you won't really need it but if it's in the water all season it'll come in handy.

ya I bought it off jay he took it on trade. Im more anxious then anything now to get in the water and get to running it.

Just order second bilge pump for back aft, washdown pump, strainer scoop thru hull, rule tournament series dual port bait well pump, sea cock and thru hulls for bilge pumps. Looking forward to finishing that up and doing a early spring shake down on her.

Well christmas came early for 2013

Now all I need is some warm weather so I can glass in some new pads in the bilge for the baitwell pump, bilge pump, wash down and seacock with scoop.

I figured I'd also throw some more boat porn out there for y'all next to my 20 ft CC
