no discredit either - perhaps you should go back and reread what I typed !

you guys really get your collective panties in a bunch quickly !

I made a statement - concerning the term "build",how that can be spun into insulting and discrediting, that's a fascination...

"building" and "modifying" are 2 different things - I pointed that out

I guess you didn't "feel that" ?

I "feel" like you, should learn to better understand what you're reading...
Its called pooping on a thread to which you are tactfully very good at doing. "I didn't insult anyone..." Wrong, you insulted nearly every member on this board, especially the OP.

Well, I'm a little flattered by the previous comments, but if I were smarter and less stubborn I would stick to rebuilding

I think they call it a "build" when someone remakes a car on of of those TV shows.

Any way, I look forward to seeing this new seacraft build/re-build/restoration/re-fit project get underway

Default No problem

Pelican, I don't really care, not a problem. I'm here to learn and share the experience, disasters and highs along the way. After all I am only human.

Ed

Ken,
Did you get the plate back?

Ed,
Not as of yet but it will take a few days and I'm in no hurry. Sorry I couldn't break free of the grand baby the other night to call you back.

Open to a lot of interpretation ...definition of build !

build

verb
1.
construct (something, typically something large) by putting parts or material together over a period of time.

Default First bulk order

Opened an account with Gem Lux and used the THT discount. Good thing I called and used one of the tec. support guys, over half of the order was not on the web site. Jerry would add items and give me the part number to search with. Then he would take it down, wonder why they don't just leave it on the site until all stock has been used up?

If all goes well all the panels, resin and cloth will be ordered next week. I am going with the 1.5% approach. After I narrow it down to the primary source, I then offer to pay cash or check vs cc to avoid the cc fee. Yea its a small savings but every little bit helps in the big picture.

By the way once the order is made I will share price break down. Don't want to order from 3-5 places just easer for me to track and reorder as needed.

Doing a garage sale today and Sunday. Trying to get rid of all the fish/boat stuff I have not used in the last ten years and make some room. Doing it with a long time friend that is down sizing and has a massive amt. of tools, parts and equipment up for sale. Also air boat, van and utility trailer.

I would need many more red pens to grade your papers bitch.

When I was 11, Papa came down in the basement.
He asked what are you building sport?

I said a go cart Papa.

He said where are the plans?

I said I don't have any plans Papa, I`m only 11.

He said you cant build anything without plans.

I said they`re in my head.

He said they have to be on paper so people can read them.

That was in the fall.
Just before X mas, Mom asked me if I was ok.
I said yes Mom why.

You only asked for one thing for X mas?
What is a Briggs and Stratton sidewinder engine?

I said browns has 2 used ones.
I want the white one please.
15 clams.

I have forged a knife, but I did not dig or smelt the ore.
Hand cranked coal fired. Heat, beat, fold.
Repeat for 2 weeks all day every day.

Then hope it does not break when tempering.
White knuckle ceremony there.
Red hot.

Quenched in old motor oil and kerosene.
Repeatedly.
Then water.

Some went tink and you knew the blade failed.
Horrible sound that is.

Arrow Gemlux

On a whim I ordered a few things off their close out /deep discount stuff about 1.5 weeks ago. Went Thur it yesterday and all I can say is it has the wow factor.

Going to pull the trigger on the first big order this week. Yep, got the OK to send a check vs CC and saved 3% off. This will be the theme thru the build. All said and done it will be over 60K. @ 3% thats $1800, at least a deposit toward the radar unit.

Don't have a clue where all the coin will come from but thru my life it has always worked out.
