Is there a reference where the designed CG should be per Seacraft model? Or rough estimate? Or should we compute that based on original configuration??

Bushwacker has noted that with Moesley's experience as a military then private commercial pilot he would have been familiar with handling changes as fuel is consumed. Therefore Carl may have located the middle of the fuel tank near the cg to minimize changes as the fuel level drops. Sounds reasonable. As explained the estimator is more for cg shift as modifications are made. When I created it I think I both scaled the middle of the tank from a brochure as well as measured it on the boat.

Being an ex PW engineer also, I over-geeked this myself. I modeled my entire 23 Sceptre in 3D CAD and checked the computed CG against fuel tank location - the calculated CG is within 1" of the center of the tank so that is consistent with the legends and folklore. I was stunned but it really makes it a lot easier to understand the effects of changes I make.

I was at PW in WPB from 1969-2000. I ordered my 20' Seafari in 1976 from Brown & Hauptner after a FAST demo ride out the Palm Beach inlet with Bushwacker.

IMHO another knocked out of the park seacraft resto by your place. That toe kick around that livewell is the sign of a well thought out design. Such a "minor" detail but one that you say "wow is this great" when you actually put it to use.
