While I wait I took care of most of the bright work and the rails with some flitz and some elbow grease.
Wondering where to buy the stanchions like the contender have? Anyone know of a source? Tomorrow I'm going to get my boxes of all the things i took off the boat and take inventory |

So its finally at home!!!
It looks better in person than with my crappy phone camera. On the way home I got a few thumbs up while I. Traffic. Now the fun begins in putting it back together. But it's so hot here in South Florida that is either early in the morning or late afternoon |

Between work, the 95 degree + heat and the rain I’ve managed to do a little to the boat.
Mainly I’ve been putting back the rod holders, the front hand rail and front light and other things back on the boat. Tomorrow I would like to get the console screwed down. I have an original console that had the lip used to screw it down. I took a saw and took it off and to hold it down I bought some 1inch aluminum angle secured it to the console and then to the deck, a bit of caulking and I think it will look better. Sunday is gas tank day. Plan is to get some 85 ethanol gas since it has a way of cleaning the insides of gas tanks and let it work. My tank is in very nice condition and a little cleaning and coal tar and it’s back in. What I do plan on doing is placing some glass strips with 5200 in order to keep it off the bottom of the coffin and let it breathe |

Jorge, my MA is not actually complete, but I have been able to run her since refurb.. Best result so far, after removing front seat from console and sliding console forward 7”, the ride has improved markedly. Quicker and easier to plane, and mysteriously takes on waves with less pounding. When passing an oncoming boats wake perfectly perpendicular she used to pound hard in the front 1/3 of the hull. More weight forward seems to have significantly changed this. Like the bow is able to cut better. Hope this helps.

It maybe too late to cut off the front seat and glass it and painted now. Below the seat the prior owner took out the cooler part so I’m thinking of placing the batteries ther. Not sure but thinking it’s going there for now
THANKS |

Agreed. My two group 24 batteries were mounted under the seat. Now I have two group 27’s mounted forward in console. With a full 50 quart cooler in front of the console, as a seat, is helping improve the ride.
Is your forward hand rail stainless steel? Mine is Aluminum, I guess lowering production costs before Mr. Potter sold in late ‘79. So was the old bow rail. The bow rail on my ‘76 project Seafari is the nicest quality stainless and doesn’t even need polishing. Michael. |

They don't make them like that anymore I kinda wish I had the cooler seat up there now I have to buy another cooler and find a place for it Now if this heat would come down I could get back to work |
