Well I guess it's better late than never.....Nice to have another trouble maker step up to the plate! I think that we only need lots of beer to negotiate with!!

Boy do I envy you South FL guys having such a cool destination a reasonable distance away. Hopefully one day I'll be able to make that trip.

I am planning to head out Friday July 27 with a return Aug 3. That leaves a weekend on each side to use as a weathe cushion. I am not real crazy about the day of the week that 8-1 falls on this year, but I will have to make it work with only a couple of days to get bugs. I am flexible if you all come up with a better plan that still lets me get my bugs and cross (back to FL) on a weekday. I like to get to the islands before 8-1 to avoid the rush at customs, although we may bring the that with us this year depending on how many folks jump into this trip.

I am not sure what starting point makes sense and where to clear needs to be based on that and of course where the final destination is.

I am planning to cross out of Stuart, I imagine we will wind up with a couple of places to travel from. My plan out of Stuart would be into Walkers and then to wherever I wind up. My normal stopping point is Foxtown. I will spend a few days there regardless of the plan, but I am open for something different if it makes sense.

I'm sure we'll all agree the more on a crossing trip the better. That said a group from THT has an Abacos trip going this summer...

I have my crew assembled and we are a go for the crossing in late July......I thought of a plan "B" if the weather window is closed before we try to leave FLA. Have a gathering either nearby in PB County or the Keys.

I think we should start a new thread. I have some new rocker switches coming in but I don`t want any gremlins to slow us down.

Munyon Island is close to what we love. Secluded docks there now. No taxi.

Bring water and showers.

Thoughts?

GFS

I want to do the crossing and will sign up right now, but it may be better for a great day.

Fishmagnet-I was thinking cross to West End, clear customs, gas up and head up to to Grand Cay. GFS-The Munion plan B sounds good

Not sure we can camp there, but that does not whet me palate.

Administration is my small point.

We might consider rooms before they are gone.

Cheers,
Us
