So, I took the boat out again over the week end. (Will it ever stop blowing down here? Sum b----!). Aneyway, I installed a 4 blade Solas prop, 14 1/4" x 17". I knew it would change the top RPM's, I had no idea how much.
The prop changed the whole characteristics of the boat.
It planned at a lower rpm, it kept the bow down more all through the rpm ranges.
It also lost 1000 rpms and 10 kts of top end speed.
Strangely enough, there was no low end prop chatter with this prop.
I will be switching back to my Yamaha 3 blade prop, and doing some further tweaking to that.

on our journey to the keys a 2 weeks ago yeilded 1/2 day fishing in 7... after driving from the pensacola area... BUT... i did get to meet Don V so that saved part of the trip for me.... We are have an EPIC marlin and pelagic bite up here though !!! this past weekend the state blue marlin record was broken and then broken again 30 mins later during the Blue Marlin Grand Championship.. and I'm offshore. Glad She pulled the mileage to get you home... You might be able to get a 4 blade that gets very close to the same top end but lifts the stern as well. good luck !!! and again ... you and Strick are a BIG influence on my building MY boat rather than just trying to buy one..... My wife told me this past week that my baby (20MA) is to be a stepping stone to one already built or a different boat.... we had a heart to heart and she know understands whatever i have to do to make HER like the boat will be done !!! so my first big change will be coming soon.... have to plug the holes in the floor.... lol

Thank you.
Speakers in the console are SW808's, effin awesome sound.
The only people I know that make a tube sub is Bazooka, I've had and installed many, they do what they can with the space they are in, all in all I'm happy with them, does the job for me and I have never had warranty needs from them.

I'm going to the website for the soeakers... I have my 10" bazooka (auto) in my boat and take it in and out currently because they dont make the bazooka compition for marine use.. think i am going to build a box for a single 12" but i have Lowrance and pyle 6.5's for now and may be looking to upgrade ove the winter.. ( just haven't told the wife yet...lol) the Lowrance ( fusion) are pretty good ... the Pyles are cheap and sound just like you would expect for "cheap" and the more my wife drinks .... the more the volume is pushed up... so i figure over the next couple months i'll have sufficently destroyed them to warrent telling the wife .... i told you we couldn't play the music that loud with out upgrading to ( .... ) speakers ... and thats when i strike ..LOL

thats just wrong....LOL ... i'm smart enough to tear the speaker foam and then let her turn up the music so it has the PPPPFFFFFFPPPPPTTT instead of bass... then i give her that what did you do look ... lol followed by .. i guess i'll have to order new ones... but i usually already have them hidden in the shop !! i have my eye on some already.. and when i order i'm adding 2 more for a total of 6 + the sub...
Gonna try to keep up with Ole !!... Just cant afford the wet sounds.. on less he cuts me one HELL of a deal.... HINT HINT>>> lol
