I am a little tardy in my response as well. I wanted to thank everyone from the Sebastian gathering, as well as some new members. My high school buddy from Jersey happened to be on this side of the state, and we were welcomed into the Gator Room for the "all you can eat buffet"!

Arrived in time to see a few new models, and the Candy Cane I was fortunate to sample.

I would like to especially like to Thank KMoose and Mel for tightening me up with three large filets of Grouper. My fishing partner here in HB is battling colon cancer and can no longer eat meat, and rarely chicken. We fished hard on Friday, as well as this last Fri., and Sat., with only two shorts. Needless to say, my buddy Paul seriously appreciated the gesture!!!

Looking forward to the next venue.

Vezo part II, The place was all your idea, bro'. I wasn't sure we could drag everybody that far north on the west coast and back in August and I was worried about the November fronts like they had a couple of years ago at Anclote. We put it up for a vote and I think Blue Heron and Kmoose each voted a couple of times but heck this is Florida and we're used to that. I'm good with the "Nature Coast" up there and knew if we could get everybody to come and the weather was tolerable we'd be just fine. Having attended a couple of these Gatherings, I've kind'a figured out what ever'body is lookin fer - Key West without the "Light in your loafers crowd!!!". To me the best picture is Danny standing on the front of his Scepter looking at Dougie pop up with a 23" Gag Grouper in 11' of water - of course you can't see land! The place is weird - Sandy saw three generations of a family wearing wearing camo and every third truck had Rebal Flags but by Sunday he was singing "The South 's going to do it again" just like Charlie in the CDB. Too funny. Marsh and I had a great time as ambassadors of the Nature Coast. We do a lot of activities with different groups but none pitch in and make it all happen like the CSC brothers and sisters. You "guys" are the Best!

What a great part of old Florida.
My favorite spot so far.
Who knew the Ice House was famous?

Elvin Bishop`s sittin` on a bale of hay,
He aint good lookin, but he sure can play.

Right back to my southern rock roots.

The one that's very overrated is the "No Name Pub"! Been going there since 1985 and when you ordered the "royal pub" pizza it was without a doubt the mac daddy pizza, we just called it the heavy pizza, at least two inches thick, you could on your very best day eat only two slices. It's been going down hill for the last five years, was there last June and it was just like any other tourist trap pizza place with $25 T-shirts. Add this one to the "been there, done that" list.....but not again.

Becky Jacks of Weekie Wachee is supposed to be really, really good. Three miles from my house and have not stopped yet. Interesting to see it made the list!
