I got the quotes back on the gas tank. Luthers-$650,SPT-$580.Both tanks .125 marine grade alum.,epoxy coated. The tank figures out to be 100 gal. capacity, 96 gal. usable. Spt wants $85 to ship the tank.Luthers is an hour drive for me,so I'm going with Luthers. This way I can take the old tank up to them and get an exact copy. The boat goes in the shed Monday to start the transom/deck work.

SEC

I take it your '73 is 23ft by the numbers? Why may I ask are you going back with a 100 gal. tank

The added weight of a 135gal-150gal replacement fuel or a 135gal fuel plus a 15 gal fresh water tank will give you that nice summer shower and make the boat ride much better?

Dink, Luthers is in Bristol,R.I.,401-253-5550. They do top notch work. Capt.Chuck,I thought about going with a bigger tank but decided against it. I never use more than 40 gallons per trip.
