NOT TO ADD MORE THOUGHT TO IT BUT WHAT ABOUT CNC ALUMINUM AND POLISH THE FACE. WITH THE EMBLEM YOU HAVE IN HAND IT SHOULDN'T BE HARD TO CNC A REPLICA AND POLISHING THE LETTERS SHOULD BE EASY. IT WONT BE CHEAP FOR THE FIRST ONE BUT AFTER THE FIRST ONE BUT THERE AFTER SHOULD BE MUCH LESS ?

Thank you for all the input given, resulting in lots of resarch.

Results - Plastic ones can be made for about $50/pair, $5 extra for color other than black, plus shipping. No minimum order.

Stainless Steel ones can be made, 304 mirror SS, 1/8" thick, laser cut, for $55 per emblem or $110/pair, (incl $1 for CSC), plus shipping. Minimum order of 50 (or 25 boats). The emblem would change slightly due to the characteristics of laser cutting thru SS, no relief capabilities. The "SeaCraft" script would be the same, and two waterlines boxed in, dropping the 'Miami Fla'. This is a local shop, giving me a major discount to help make it happen. It would take approx 4 weeks from start to finish.
Disadvantage, it would be one production run with the exact quantity ordered. Are there 25 boats that would order these?

The SS would be more expensive, but then beautiful.
I would be 'fronting' the money, so please respond only if your are serious.
Thank you,
Carla

Hello 65, put me in for 1 of the ss emblems, I am partial to leaving the Miami, Fla letters but will take one with or without. If the concensus is to go with plastic, I;ll take two so I can have a spare. Great find!

I might be interested in a pair of SS ones. Could we get an example of what they might look like. Maybe the CAD file from the laser cutter?

Hi,
The size is approx 9-1/2 x 2-1/2
The CNC drawing will come when I give the guy the 'go ahead' and he begins the setup...after I pay him the set up fee.
Looking at the emblem (1st page), there is a full waterline or waves if you will, that runs left-right under SeaCraft, and then a second one that is interupted by the "Miami, Fla". The second waterline (wave) will be extended all the way across, just under the first one.

I've xeroxed the emblem, and are currently making the changes on the paper copy. Hopefully tomorrow I will have something to show.

Timing? After there is a commitment of 50 emblems, then I will have the guy do the CNC drawing. When that's complete, I can show everyone the final drawing, and see if anyone else wants to add their name to the order.

We've got a couple interested and I'm good for two sets, getting there!

I appreciate hearing your thoughts, comments and questions.
Thanks, Carla
