Looks good Lou. I see now that this boat is a sceptre which would explain why the waterline is a little lower then what I'm used to. The sceptres tend to have a more weight up front due to the cabin. Keep the pic's coming.

The amount of labor and love in this bracket is tremendus I've never seen a all wood wraped in glass bracket of this sort before but then again I may only have a limited perception on this, a 500# outboard is going to be a true test. Good luck sir.
I'm a little nervous too about the overall strength of the bracket construction, but it sure is beautiful glass work.

make sure to give it a good test before you mount your motor. Maybe you can strap a pair of 55 gallon drums to the bracket and fill them with water . . . then trailer the boat around a school yard or mall parking lot with speed bumps.

Wood,........Geeeeeeze, there ain't an inch of wood in this bracket. Corecell, and Coosa Bluewater 26 high density fiberglass reinforced foam went into this project. NO WOOD AT ALL!
Thanks for the great comments guys, I will keep the progress pic's comming. Wood???

Sorry about the wood comment, I restore boats for a living and I am stuck on A-C Fir Plywood ( my preferance) if properly sealed and laminated over you should have a boat for a life time, and I like the ride of a heavy wood boat! All that is irrevelant for your project becouse of weight issues,I think you made the right choice with a composit structure and layup, and as far as the glass work and all relating to finish unless somebody goes over there and pulls out a magnifying glass it looks like Top of the Line work to me. Good Job!
