I'm the OP. I'm anxious to get this project moving forward, looking forward to getting to FL, meeting Kevin (YeA 20sF), unbolting his splashwell, getting it to Hermco, getting the mold made, returning the splashwell to Kevin within a day or two.

That's my plan. Kevin must be very busy, though, as he hasn't gotten back to me yet about the scheduling of this dramatic affair. I'm somewhat flexible about timing, but if Thanksgiving doesn't work, I may have to move the trip back to Christmas, and get a family vacation out of the deal.

Kevin, if you're reading this, get in touch with me so we can move forward. Thanks.

Good to hear from you. No need to unscrew it yet. Just get a good look at it and make sure this project isn't a major PIA for you.
I look forward to hearing from you. We can then talk about scheduling.

Thanks for your offer/input. Where are you located?

I'm not sure about your model, and will need some help.

78 20' "SF"...is that a Seafari? At the stern, are your baitwells/storage compartments at gunwale level or at shin level? (Were the gunwale-level baitwells only available on the Master Angler, and all others at shin level?.)

I just want to make sure we're all on the same page. Thanks.

Default Spalshwell

It was an outboard configuration SuperFisherman (see attached). I sold the boat sometime ago to Basspond who is a member here. Its been hanging in my garage and was used very little. I took it off when i bought a 23' and the 20' became a lake boat. It was painted in Awlgrip cream by Widlfire Marine when Mike redid the boat for me. It greatly increases seakeeping ability and confidence when combined with a watertight bilge hatch.
