Ken, I'm so sorry for your loss. I've not been much of a dog person throughout my life, but, my daughter wore me down 2 yrs. ago and we got a lap dog. The little scoundrell has stolen my heart. I have some PUNKS like that speeding by my house everyday. It scares me to think of having to go through what you're dealing with. Hang in there!

Sorry for your loss. what a jerk .Had 2 treeing walker hounds from age 14 to 35 in my family. Great hounds. There is one for adoption locally here on the cape its killing me right now. They do like to be hounds though and run a scent, we lost the first Sam to a car on 28 in harwich, and Satch lived to be a varmint chasing old age. Great family dogs, kids could pull their ears and tails...satch however had a thing for small poodles and grabbing them by the neck and shaking.

Ken,

Im sorry to hear about your loss. A dog is definately the best friend a man could ever have. All you can do is give them the best life you can for the short time that they are with us.

A similar thing happened to my boxer on the 15th in Rockledge at my girlfriend's. He was hit by a speeding car. I rushed him to the vet where he had to have emergency exploratory surgery to see where and if they could stop the internal bleeding. He had pretty severe internal injuries but is expected to make a full recovery. The girl stopped at least and admitted to going over the posted speed limit which is 20 mph. I cant imagine what it would feel like if he was killed or i had to put him down.

"A civil issue" is the same response i got from Rockledge PD. I was actually told by the officer that Florida's 'leash law' trumps the fact that she was speeding (even though a neighbor is willling to sign a statement saying that she admitted to speeding). I just chock it up to another example of Floridas imperfect justice system.

My condolences to you and your family. Let us know how it goes with the lawyer. I might have to use him/her. Again, sorry you lost your friend.

Never thought I'd root for an ambulance chaser but in this case I'll be leading the cheering, screaming - "Sick'em, Get 'em boy!"

I would like to hear the outcome of what happens to that punk ass.. Please keep us posted.

I have a dog I care for just as much as you did with Sarah, and I couldn't imagine the pain and suffering you are going though. Sorry for your loss.

Default Ken - very sorry to hear

I don't get in here as often as I used to, so I'm way late on this, but I just read your post about Sara, and I feel your pain.

Look up, some night - there's another star in heaven, and know she'll be waiting for you someday .

My best to you and your family

Bill
