Very very nice!

You're going to love the enclosed cockpit, and rear drop curtain.I have the same thing on my 74 Tsunami. We fish early spring with water temps in the high thirties and with cold air temps and a stiff breeze,we stay nice and warm inside(until a fish hits.)

I'll echo Dennys words on the Epifanes varnish. I stripped the old teak rod holders and gave them several coats(I think 4)of the Epifanes, and they still look beautiful.I did them five years ago.
Epifanes makes a lot of coatings that are great and I think under rated.Their two part urethane is a beautiful paint, and their yacht enamel single part paint is very nice as well.

Good luck with the new ride

It's bad I keep the boats at my Dad's house while I work. I'm a merchant marine. Dad has said"You will sell one of those before June right?" "And your not bring that empty trailer over here either." Currently right now the boats sit in the back driveway and the old trailer sits on the front lawn with a for sale sign on it. Looks like a boat yard haha

Unfortunately the CC has to go, I won't use it anymore love it but its time for someone else to enjoy such a great hull.

The weather warmed up enough to fit the new trailer to the boat, and hell take her out for a bit burn some fuel and drink a beer.

On the old trailer

New 6000 lb torsion load rite trailer

All setup and snugged in place on the new trailer

And hell whats a little boating in 40 degree sun without a beer with your Dad

It felt great to be on the water i n 40 degree weather wearing a t shirt and being comfortable. A little tease of the coming warm weather

Is that windshield powdercoated? It looks like the black wrinkle finish that i had on my Tsunami.

Water was calm enough to get WOT. Trimmed up to cavitation myself and wild man got it to 39.8 MPH. And with a passing by stick boat it was confirmed that she rides bow heavy. But with some trimming and tweaking plans out great. I think the location if the fuel tank was altered in 2008 when the new tank was installed.

On another note with the addition of the two battery's and the right hand prop torque she wants to lean to the starboard. So those batteries will get moved to the under the port cockpit seat.

She's a beauty. I have an '88. Mine rides bow heavy too. I thought about putting a bilge up there but don't have the access panel. I wonder if someone did that one on yours? I am jealous of the rocket launcher...need one.

There are to pie plates in the cuddy for the bilge pump. On my scepter the cuddy water won't move aft. So it's a good thing it's there. They put an 8inch plate at the bottom and a four inch up huh for the through hull. Pretty slick and easy routing for plumbing.

What were you getting for RPM's? Should be 5600-5800 my dad has an 83 with the seat boxes up front and he had to go to a 15p stainless to get to 5800. That should be a 36-38 knot boat at wot so that 39.8 mph seems low. Make sure your not pitched to high.

The specs I saw for that model etec was 5200 rpm. I might be mistaken though ill have to look it up again. I was seeing 5100 rpm roughly.
