‘Shed of doom’. Haha.
I love it! Misery loves company right!! My wife told me the other day that she was tired of walking over my reloading equipment and Boat stuff!!!

Dginge, Yes the wheel is available but I have to go look for the angle spacer in the "Shed of Doom". I will back to you later this afternoon and see if I can find it. It is just like the one in Eric's pic and the only mods would like be longer or different helm fittings if you just have elbows on the back of the helm.

I had an Edson PowerKnob on the standard three spoke wheel I had on my 18 footer.
It has a nice stainless strap that holds it on the wheel nice and tight. fastener is under the cap.
Nice Delrin or summat bearings in it too.
Kinda spendy but totally worth it.

Just ordered myself the Gemlux three spoke with the integral deluxe knob.
only $100 bucks!

I wonder if that would stick the wheel out too far on the vertically mounted sceptres?
Interesting. Ill have to see if we have one kicking around the shop here and do a mock up.
Boat currently has some nice pompanette captains chairs in place, and the spacing to the wheel is kind a tight for a larger gentleman...

Gemlux has a promo code for The Hull Truth folks that I, uh, may have "appropriated".

You need to go to the gemlux website (http://www.gemlux.com/) and create an account.
Then add whatever goodies you want to your cart.
Put this code in the promo-code box "tht35off" at checkout, and voilà! 35% off.
Sweet.
I paid 109.83 for the 13.5" three spoke wheel with integral deluxe knob, and based on the invoice I just got in my email, they threw the wheel nut in for free unexpectedly! Another 10 dollar savings I wasnt expecting!
I work for a boatyard and I've dealt with Gemlux off and on for years now, their customer service is stellar, and their products are very high quality.

Very nice work. Thanks so much. You feel like -3.5 will be enough wheel for the vertical bulkhead?

I think so... Guess we'll find out.
It's my first Sceptre. Always been a center console guy.

Have all new hydraulic steering so wheel size shouldn't really matter all that much. Possibly more turns lock to lock with the smaller wheel, but with the hydraulics less effort.
Dunno.
I'll post a pic of what it looks like in place once UPS drops it off.
Figured at just over a hundred bucks all-in, I could swap the wheel out later for a larger one if need be with minimal wallet pain.

Please do. I’d like to see before I move away from my 15 inch wheel. Thanks again all

It all depends on what your helm size is. If you have a 1.7 or lower a 13" wheel is fine but if you have anything higher like a 2.4 it will not be a big enough diameter unless you are running twins with two separate rams.

BTW, the wheel I have is the Belloca which has been discontinued.

As far as Edson knobs, I have both the Gemco and Edson and feel the Gemco is as good or better. It just lacks in the cool factor cause it doesn't say Edson.

Embarrassingly, I’m confused about what you refer to on helm size?
Take my picture for example. Thx
