magicseaweed.com showing 80 gusting to 100 Wednesday in Charleston.

This cold front in the mid west is chasing her out to sea.

Surf of 15 ft in New Smyrna.

The Bahamas are in real trouble.

No one would think that there is a major hurricane so close to Florida. It is such a nice day here today.

Where ever it heads to ...let's be safe out there

To my fellow MOAG comrades who made the Bahamas crossing back in July, I don't think I want to be at the Josey Wales "5-star resort" today or Rosie's for that matter!! Wish them well!!

Not looking good for Hilton Head Island nor Charleston. Think I’m going to pack up the diesel and head to Hernando Beach, hopefully by Tuesday morning.

Michael.

Reel Escape, what are your plans?

I was thinking about this last night. If we on the east coast come through this relatively unscathed, I would feel bad not helping in some way. Those island are not going to be the same after this.

I guess the best way to help would be to immediately donate to a reputable relief organization and then after they get rebuilt GO Visit the islands and spend some money.

Yeah you are right, with the word of the day being "reputable!!" I sent Snookerd a text after watching the Fox13 weather guy on the web and he said Grand Bahama is taking it hard now that the storm has slowed to almost a stop, however he points to the small string of Islands north of Freeport and says these small islands are getting the very, very worst of the storm and will have extreme damage. Walkers Cay, Grand Cay and the others will really need help, I just wonder about the Bahamian Government's ability to properly spend donations where needed most!! Remember PR and Marie??
