A friend of mine has basic T-shirts done for his business (printing front and back). He suggested that we get a total number of shirts first ... He said depending on the quantity the cost can be quite expensive (he has some connections so he said he gets a pretty good deal but couldnt give me a real cost plus he doesnt know if we could get the same deal...he gets alot of shirts). He did tell me once you add color to the shirt, color to the artwork (which needs to be placed in a certain format, sounded like the T-shirt printer cannot use just a jpeg file...or else he said there is a fee for getting the artwork in the right format), pockets and grade of shirt (he said typical quotes are for cheap shirts ...not the better quality stuff.)

Depending on design there are setup fees based on complexity(how many colors) of the design. Naturally the more shirts ordered the better ... but like Jason says it sounds like the cost can hurt...and from the indications I got from my buddy there is a substantial outlay of cash to get this going

I dont know how accurate all this info is .. and I've never had T-shirts made so I dont know what this should cost but it sounded (from this person) that it can add up quick.
I will say the shirts he has had done are very impressive ... He still has shirts from 5 years ago when he started doing this and they are "wearing" very good.
Very little ink fade .... To keep it affordable he opp's for one color for the front and back print...I dont think pockets either ....

Peter
I would be very interested to hear what kind of numbers you get even ballpark ...just to bounce it off of him to see if the numbers are reasonable.

White Tee with pocket

I think we need to promote this site, since this is where it originated, so classicseacraft.com on front

Black and white drawing inside Capt. Chuck's logo.

2 XXfat
2 small

BA

Another thought. Could we change Capt. Chuck's logo so the bottom has Seacraft.com, that way you would have the hull and still promote the site?
