Got a little more work done on the little boat today. I knew there was a little rot under the bow cleat area but it turned out the all the balsa was water logged so out it came. Was going good till I got tired of the belt sander to remove the remants of rotten wood and climbed in under the cap with the angle grinder with a 36 grit paddle sander. When I came out I looked like frosty the snow man and itch from head to toe. But I got all the rot out and the majority of the original glue sanded away.Started to rain a little so I called it a day, hopefully will get it all installed sunday.

this is the starboard side near the helm. I made releif cuts about 2" X 2" squares so it would form better. Now all I have to do is give the 5200 enough time to cure before I remove the screws holding it all in place.

this is the port side further up from the dual station area

this is the very front of the bow area

This is transom area where the live well/storage hatch is

Got a lot done yesterday. Two more coats of paint on the gunnel cap. sanded the deck and got two coats of paint on it. Got the cut outs done for the vhf, gps, and steering, don't worry they are straight its just that they are only sitting in there a little crooked. Simi mounted the antennas, cleats, and lights.

Nice work on that boat.I have that same boat with only one diference in that the transome was made for an outboard.Im thinking of modifing it and turning it into a center console. The boat had two evinrude 70hp and was running aprox.35mph but I instaled those engines on a 19foot mako,so righ now I have two yamaha 40hp for it.Im also thinking of adding some spray rails to it because its a VERY WET!! ride.

Gigolot, very nice job you're doing on your 19 Bowrider!
Tito, I'm obviously very partial to Bowriders and they are somewhat of a rarity...would be a shame to cut her up.

Got the teak sanded, oiled a few weeks ago, and made a new hatch/cutting board for the bait box out of starboard. Installed the new icom 504 vhf on friday and today I retrofitted a new seat to the old base.

hatch

cuttingboard

new seat and VHF

this is the seat for when the ladies want to "get a tan"

About all that is left is to paint the fuel tank hatch, make a new hatch for where the I/O was and get a new below deck fuel tank maufactured and remove the bottom paint. Plus im sure there will be plenty of little things I notice along the way.
