Re: 77 Master Angler rebuild
Hey buddy, I had priced a trailer from Nextrail last year since I heard they're very reputable and make good, inexpensive trailers. For example, I priced an all aluminum trailer, double axles with torsion suspension (better than leaf springs), SS hydraulic disc brakes, LED lighting and rated for 10,000 lbs (I almost bought a Bertram 25 FBSF last year but the deal fell thru) but get this, it was only going to cost $4500 delivered to my house! When you're ready give them a try, the B25 owners that have them are real happy with them.
Have to come by and see the boat sometime!

Come on by I have not seen you in awhile
I checked out the Nextrail web site and the prices seem really good I'm going to call them and see about the pricing. I've made a little progress on the boat mainly in the deconstruction part. I need to sweet talk the wife for some funds to buy some things to start putting it back together. Call me |

Re: 77 Master Angler rebuild
I bought a qt of the stripper and applied it to the boat. After 3 hrs I went out and it seems like it is doing a decent job. It does look like I will have to do a 2nd coat and I plan on buying a gal size next time.
what I think is helping is that the person that did the bottom paint did a crappy job and did not sand the bottom 1st or do a barrier coat so it makes it easier to take off. I think it's quicker and easier than sanding the bottom. Even if I do have to sand etc... it looks like I will save some time and effort. |

Re: 77 Master Angler rebuild
He's were I'm at with the removal fo the bottom paint.
I brushed on the stripper and waited overnite to remove. I used a pressure cleaner to help in the removal. I did not expect a miricle but it worked out ok for the 12 dollars I spend on the West Marine brand. I plan to get another qt and re-apply and pressure clean it again. I did have better results in the bow area but the back 1/2 still needs some additional elbow grease. Again not bad results |
