Oh yea! It was a cooker today. I spent the day grinding stress cracks out of a 22 shamrock and cleaned out a case of water. Sorry to hear you've been under the weather hugo. A couple guys at our shop have been out too, so that stuff's makin it's way around. Wish I lived a little closer, I'd come give you a hand with that boat of yours.

well i have seen several diffrent ways people lay up their glass work, some make the core first then install and cover and some layup in layers until done, any ideas which is better? or realy just a matter of what is easier? i can do either just wondered if it made a diffrence. i even saw one person make the core, cover it and then glue it in place and tab in the edges.

one more step... wet out the wood and added 2 peices of 1.5 oz mat then wet them out and sandwiched and screwed together...... just not enough time after work to feel like i got much done...... maybe i can get it cleaned up tommorow and set in place to cure so i can glass this weekend. should i use mat or roven between the core and outer skin or just thicked resin to set it in like a putty?

Default back at it again...

well finaly was able to get the core set and filled in the sides and bottom. today i was able to get my wifes help and we glassed in the front side of the transom. two layes of medium mat with one layer heavy roven in the middle extending forward about 6 inches, lots of patches first over the fillets. and as my girls put it a penny (heads up for luck!). hope it dosent cause some reaction and mess me up! feeling good about the progress. more glass on the back to do then build the rear cap and floor. install the bracket and hang power! sounds easy enough
