Matt - my Bronco is a 92 5.0 XLT (first year of last body style). It's been a pretty good truck for surf fishing. I got this used when the five foot two wife decided that an OffRoad F150 was not conducive to putting a baby in a child seat in the rear cab . So we traded that on a "real" car.
![]() I've had to change a few things, like the tank & shield because enough sand got wedged in between the two to wear thin the gas tank. Turns out just cleaning after the surfcasting sands of MV wasn't enough. Also changed the fuel pump, relays, wiring harness, and filler/vent tubes. That seems to be the common $$ area on these things. Need to fix up a couple rust spots shortly - nothing major yet. I changed the oil pump, common on 302s of that vintage. And I recently dropped a valve and was going back & forth on remanned motor or just doing the heads and selling to get a new truck. We'll see. I was thinking of swapping in a 5.8 but too much to change, lower intake, entire exhaust system.... Great truck that's kissed the sands of MV, Nantucket, & Block plus the back beaches of the Cape & Rhody. Great surfcasting truck (as you can see by the cooler rack on the front )
