Re: Free Seacraft and Trailer
I could put tires on the trailer, get it to the boat ramp and launch it. It could then be reloaded on another boat trailer. Or the transport truck with a rollback or ramps could load it at my house or the boat ramp.

Re: Free Seacraft and Trailer
Ben, If it falls through for you, let me know. I will go buy a trailer and make the 1000+ mile drive. I don't have a Seacraft and need a project.

Re: Free Seacraft and Trailer
I would buy a trailer for that boat and tow it back home to Boston in a NY minute but my problem is that I don't have a place to store and work on it up here. Plus....I really should buy a house before I buy another boat! Really sucks...I would love to completely restore a one-off like that.

Re: Free Seacraft and Trailer
I rebuilt the hitch coupler, added grease to the bearings, sprayed the springs with WD-40 and put on new tires and rims ($150). The cross beam in the rear is still intact (barely) and everything else on the trailer looks okay. I drove the boat and trailer a half mile around the neighborhood to test the the trailer, springs and bearings. Everything worked okay. I would still suggest new bearing. Easier to just replace the hubs and bearings. A complete assembled kit is $25 each. Two people have called and said they were coming but no one has showed up yet. First come, first served.

Re: Free Seacraft and Trailer
Hi Cliff,
I apologize, I was coming by to check her out but had to leave on a job emergency (had no idea there was such a thing as a GOLF emergency until I joined this company!). I will be back this weekend and plan to come by ASAP to take her from you. I can't do much with her now but I can keep it for any one of my SC buddies, it'll just cost about $25 a month to park her next to mine.

Re: Free Seacraft and Trailer
Great news! The SeaCraft has been rescued. The boat was picked up today and is being held in storage pending pickup, transportation and restoration by the new owner. Dispite it's condidtion, it is still a great looking boat going down the road on the trailer. Beautiful lines and one hell of a big boat for 21 feet. Many, many thanks to the new owener for saving the boat.
