Thanks buddy! I guess I could drive to that area in about 6 hours (without a boat of course) and meet someone at a dock somewhere. I'll let you know early enough if I can make it and thanks again! Jorge, how about it, think you can make it too? Sounds like a good time!
Easy drive for you 75 all the way to Tampa then Veterens Expressway--CAKE WALK

On another note for guys running in, we will have a Certified OMC and MERC mechanic and the owners of American Marine there, so no worries.

ESD, et al- this is lookin' like a killer event....

I just moved my youngest son, 18, down to St. Pete, a couple weeks ago, where he's staying with my oldest son (29) prior to moving over to Winter Park for school... the end of April... so I'd been thinking of flying down then to help the move....

so, now, if I added a little time to the trip, to free up the Sat, 4/28 - any chances of gettin a lift for 3 avid fishermen, out there, for the day ???

just curious...

Bill

Sure -- honest guys picking people up not an issue its a couple miles from the island to the ramp at the mouth of the Anclote river, plus it gives somebody a chance race around in their boat

Any chance he is at Rollins College Bill?
My Winter Park office is two blocks from there.
You bet someone will get you out to the event.

Ok looks like the Mosely's are settled, I have a hotel we can drive them right to the dock, in the pic's its at that big developed area slightly NE of the north bar so not far at all.
Bones get out there and get that wood cut so its nice and dry,and keep it dry. But we do need firewood so if everyone say could get a pack from the grocery store or Hardware since its easy to carry and doesn't make a mess but it will be gone soon.

If anyone doesn't want to camp here is the link, very inexpensive:

Chainsawing is on the list for this weekend.
I have tons of Oaks, Hickory & Cedar that has been laying on the ground for two years. I will pile the back of the ole' Dodge P/up with as much as I can. I have several others
from this side that are coming and will load them up as well. It will be a hoot!!!!!

Count me in! I been lurking around here for awhile, just didn't have much to comment about until now. This event sounds like it will be something that won't be forgotten soon. See you all there.

If everyone brought a little it wouldn't be so hard on you, I was just trying to help.

FYI-anybody looking for new camping gear this is a good site
http://www.texsport.net/index.php
I just bought the Heatherwood I think $44 and 2 cots, the tent is an excellent island tent, becareful on any tent that the fly does not cover the windows so the wind can get thru or it will over blow over easy- check the tent I bought and you'll see what I mean. Don't ask
