I understand you ran into an old friend of mine,Barry, at the KOA when you were getting her out last month.Good on you for saving that hull.Mark,Deigo and I spent some time around her awhile back.
Yes, I spoke with Barry at length, he is a very likable fella. Looks like he has a nice project going also. Yea,I spoke with Diego and Mark a while back. Both of them are nice fellas also. I watched some of Diegos shows. We were gettin some funny looks from the folks at the KOA bar when we put her on the trailer at the KOA ramp. It looked like a "SWAMP THING" We were beat, I was sun poisoned, and got violently ill after a couple of beers with Barry. It was a rough ride back, we parked & slept on the side of the road on Duck Key for a few hours while I recouped, tried to drive again but only made it an hour and slept again at Tavernier. WHat a freakin' adventure, Lost a wipe blade while it was storming, Jack handle crank broke and foot extended to the ground, rear window regulator broke and window would not go up, got violently ill at the No Name, felt like I left some important internal organs behind, had to leave before the food came and go sleep in the truck. It was an adventure to say the least, Did you see that 4 ft. eel in the picture? That came out of the boat, that could have been very nasty.

The original config would be most excellent for a dive boat leaving a huge cockpit.
Great save Brian! Was hoping someone would rescue that old gal before the state removed and scrapped it!

You're absolutely right about the original being a great dive boat! Look at all the folks on the Unohu in the picture below!

I made numerous dives off that boat and it would handle 4 guys, all their gear and 8 tanks and nobody felt crowded! Was also the best riding boat I've ever been on! The SeaCraft 23's used to have trouble keeping up with it whenever seas got over about 4'! The owner, climbing over the transom in that picture, used to dive 2 tanks almost every Saturday and Sunday of the year! He bought it new from Moesly in '65 at the Miami boat show (it was the boat on display!) and I think he was on engine No. 5 when he sold it in '92. He had retired and I lost touch with him and didn't know he was trying to sell it or I would have snapped it up in a heartbeat! Denny

Sure I will help, I have it it is in two pieces but easily repaired, needs to be pressure washed. If you repair and promise to use a release agent you may splash a mold.
Let me know when I can pick it up

With the windshield frame I will be all original.

Awesome on the all original, I would like to do all original also someday. Did yours have the hardtop? The 21 in St. Augustine had one and it was awesome. BTW did you fill below the floors with USCG flotation Foam?

I have the original hard top. That sucker weighs over 80#. With out the windshield frame I was going to scrap the hard top. Now I should be able to repop the hard top in composite cut the weight in half and have a really cool original looking "21".

The floors are still not attached and I have not put any foam in there...Why do you ask?

OK ,
Everything is set.
A quality professional, and very capable custom boat builder has been chosen with experienced staff.
Right now we are offering Original design and center console (w small fwd cabin) design.
They will be offered ready for power with an outboard flotation bracket, center console, and baitwell. Construction will be composite coring, so no rot. Offered at base price of 36K , 1/2 deposite, 1/2 due on delivery. Sea Trial will be $100, refunded at purchase. The first 10 will be offered at this price, After that the price will increase to roughly 41K.
There are upgrades; Infused hull, vacuum bagged, epoxy, carbon fiber etc. and accessories available like t-top, t-top with crows nest,LED lighting, custom hull conforming trailer. The contract will be fair and not one sided, with some type of penalty/incentive for us to have each boat finished within a specified time. You may be welcome to come by and see your boat being built, but not harass the builder. You are also welcome to go by the builder to view their current work and quality. After a sea trial you will have a knowing that the SC21 will take you where boats like this (below) will take you, in the same or better comfort, for 1/3 of the used price!!!!!! At tremendously less fuel burn. Imagine an all day fishing trip, trolling,, 20-25 miles offshore with 3 buddies for $30 a person!!!!!! Or a ride from West Palm to the Bahamas for less than $60 in fuel. For those seriously considering and before you poo poo the price, you must at least see the hull in person, and bring yer $100 bucks, I promise after seeing the hull, you will want a sea trial and we don't do IOUs.

brian It sounds very cool what youre doing, but id be very careful not to call it a sc21, im sure big brother ( tracker) will be aware and id hate seeing you get tangled up in any legal bs with them. I personally think you should call it a moesly (with permission)and use that vintage seacraft logo that shows the rear of the transom, it would be realy cool and vintage looking. That being said I would love to see an open model with forward seating at some point or a flat floor. Give us some more info on the builder, im sure im not the only one waitng to hear more

I have not settled on a name yet. Here is a link to the mfg website, he does custom boats. look at the 24 for ideas about your full open, fwd seating is an option and not a problem , just more time & $$. The builder, me, my partner are all on the same page, and we are open and flexible. We also have the same beliefs and goals so we have congruency all the way around.
