Not only are engines needed....I was wondering where the C/C is on the SeeVee? "Seemed like a good deal, really honey, I just must have missed that center console part of the boat".

Ken and I smoked a bowl and shared some koolaide on the way to check out the Seamaster. What a mega major project. After checking it out Ken explained that $33225.50 wasn't really so much and 100 days of labor each was no problem. By that time the koolaide was really kickin' in so I said WTF. After all, it wasn't "bringin' home one more project home" like my bride warned me about. It was only a half and besides it would stay at the NoBones compound. I just hope everyone stays off and doesn't run up the price. Dave

does this mean "I" found an old girl before the experts

please send pics when you get her
Believe it or not I saw this the day it came up,
then 65 Bowrider also gave me the heads up.
If this were a 15' Scampi it would have never gone
public. This 27 is going to be a MAJOR re-do
who ever ends up with her. This does not mean
I'am throwing in the towel, but drawing the line .
Just to move this boat is going to cost any where
from $500.00 up depending on the distance.
This boat is less then 14 miles from area 442. (my home)
All 4 tires are shot. The hubs of this mobile home frame trailer are questionable at best. This rig has not moved in 28 years. The area to work in is very tight.
All in all I would love to take possession of this 27
Seamaster. It will truly be a labor of love and a
one of kind. Fellowship's post on what is out there
in the price range of the re-do makes you think about
what all is involved. This a rare breed of a hull
and as cool as it gets for a collectible.
Just alot of soul searching to do before the bid closes in
less then 24 hours.

Again thanks to all for their support and no hard
feelings if this goes to someone else.

See ya, Ken

Ken,
You have been a long time loyal fan of CSC and also an enthusiastic supporter of the original Moesly designs.

If you want her, then you deserve to have her. Best of luck and I hope you win.

Trayder please forgive us on this thread as we have
broken all the rules of boats for sale on CSC. This one
has touched all of us.
Here are a few more pics from today while Dave and I
were high on hope and change....

Hi NoBones:

Here is a post I put up on 6/14/05
I guess it is still true today.

To do a project boat is for some people Something Special and for others it’s something Stupid. Truly It Is A Labor Of Love. And IT’S NOT CHEEP EVEN IF YOU DO IT YOUR SELF. And if you have someone else doing the job will you probably could buy a new boat for what it will cost to have someone else do it for ya.
Here’s the deal. What ever you think it will cost add 50 to 65% more to the cost and you got it right and what ever the length of time you think it will take double it and you are in the ball park and YOU BETTER LIKE DRINKING BEER OR YOUR NEVER GET DONE.
This is not a Logical Decision one makes, this is a Labor Of Love. People buy antique paintings for millions of $$$ and old cars for hundreds of thousands of $$$ we do boats for one of two reasons WE LOVE OUR SEACRAFTS, or GOD is punishing us with a lot of work for something we did to make him mad.
I put in over a year / 150 days of work and $32,000 to do my boat. If I were to think about this thing logically I could have bought a real good 5 year old boat that didn’t need anything done for approx the same amount of cash.

We Are One sick Group Of People Here and if you hang around long enough you could get infected with a obsession that will never get better so you just got to give into it and do one your self. Bottom line is this there are a lot of guys here that could buy any boat they want others want a great boat for approx 50 cense on a buck but after you do one your self you will be more proud of your accomplishment and boat that if you got a new one of any boat manufacturer on the market. That why I really look at my boat as a 23’ SeaCraft CUSTOM BUILD BY KEN. I know that might not make any sense but it is true never the less.

I guess by the time you guys got there you were so snookered on the Kool-aid that you didn't see my flat bed up the drive two properties...yeah, that's right, the one with the CA plates behind the blue Freightliner...yeah... I saw it first so you better start looking for another piggy-bank to crack into

What a beauty! - like finding the Santa Maria on your favorite reef. Great helm layout. Looks like a couple hours on your power washer and your in business.

Good luck with the bid!
