Willy,
You are going to love how the boat does with the Bracket. It jumps up on plane with the big tub. The full transom cuts the noise way down. Great swim platform for the warm days too when your not fishing. Keep up the good porn ![]()

I got the hull sides and transom in primer over the weekend, It will need some blocking and pin hole filling and another coat of primer and it should be good enough. I will be only repriming over the bodywork spots and not the whole hull. I was thinking about doing the bottom in gel coat instead of bottom paint. Any recomendations for gel coat? I'm thinking of rolling it on instead of spraying. I'm not looking for a ultra smooth finish, I just dont want to have to buy and paint it every year or so.

Talk to Bobby about shooting it for you. Hes going to do my transom and top cap with duratech and Ill buff it down. I also know somebody who has done black gellcoat with duratech on the bottom so it looks like bottom paint but is smooth and shiney. (covered a few repairs too)

I was thinking of just doing the bottom in white gelcoat. so the duratech is just a clear addative to make it more shiny? If so I'm not to worried about how shiny it is or how smooth it comes out but if I was to roll it on I was hopeing it would be no more bumpy than bottom paint.I'm building this for a work boat so it will be getting full of blood and guts all the time and doesnt have to be super perfect, Just respectable.

The nice part of Duratech is you can buff it down if you want a smooth shiney surface and it wont F'up like regular gelcoat.

Duratech is a reducer that thins the gelcoat to make it sprayable, it also makes it dry in air without pva, and it also adds gloss. I had good success with it.
