Holes in the bottom of the boat are filled in. This is inside the in-floor bait well. Thank goodness he only had a 6-shooter... I've seen SeaCraft's with many more holes in the bottom for bait, they still float doe.

I'm moving the steering wheel to the left side of the Center Console. Re-designing layout. Probably need new gauges and switches to make it look good.

A few places need some fiberglass touchup. And a random photo from under the gunwale.

Latest photos of the front seat progress... on the SeaCraft 23 FS (Front Seating). Also a shot of the subwoofer box seat.

Here is my idea for seat cushions. I didn't want to lose the rail completely, but I wanted the seat backs to go as high as possible, so this is what I came up with. I used Microsoft paint to draw cushions in over a picture. I just grabbed some contrasting colors, red and pink, so they would stand out. Cushions will most likely be all white. Very Rough, but you get the idea.

Center Console work. I finally figured out what that indention is on the front of the SeaCraft center console. It's for the original plexiglass windshield. Found a picture showing the windshield going all the way down into that groove on the front. It was to counter balance against wind pressure I guess. Since I won't have a windshield, I'm filling it in for a smoother look. Moving the steering wheel to the left and going to flush mount electronics, so the sliding doors are history. There will be a flush cabinet door next to the electronics so I will still have access to about 1/3 of the right side up top, to store stuff. Also moving the hinges on the front seat so it will lift from the front instead of on the side.
I didn't believe how much it would cost to renovate a boat. My quotes were adding up to much less that what I read about on the forum.... But, now I see what happens, one change leads to another. And, once you get started, it's really hard to stop.

Project is looking good, I like the new seating. I've been trying to figure out what that console indent was all about and had been planning to remove the one on my '89 console as well. Thanks for solving that mystery

Glad I could help. It took me several days searching the internet until I found a picture of a center console with smoked plexiglass and I could clearly see that's what it was for.
