Brian- Those are great numbers.....

Ken-Are you getting a 25 or 30" 300? Also, if you get a chance, can you measure the plate from the keel? I will be trailering the Sceptre over there this month for the new gauge and raising the motor to the highest hole.

Don't forget Danny, Ken's engine is sitting on a 10" bracket. His number will be higher than bolted to the transom like you.

Danny, save the gas money and buy the bracket. It would work fine with your 25". Im going with a 30" just because it's worked so well up to now.

Would you stay with the 10" jack plate or 3-6" plate?

I think the 10" offers the best performance bonus getting your motor farther away from the transom in cleaner water as well as offering the highest mounting options.

Woohoo! Can't wait to see some!
The only person more excited than me is Mel. She has a full day planned for the break in schedule.

Much thanks to Mike and the guys at International Marine! Their reputation is only exceeded by the actual service and attention you receive. I figured we would be in for hours of paperwork and details but Mike had us set up in minutes. A+++ experience.

I did a very patient and easy break in schedule . I did at least one hour more of idling then what was recommended.

Did you go white or black? Since you run heavier than I do, you may want to try the 18 1/2 inch prop. Hopefully they mounted it very high.
