If you are 25 inches deep with the tub . . . do you have a 30" shaft motor?

Hey Martin - uh oh . . . a 20" motor on a 22"/23" deep bracket will probably have some issues. Even if you get the bracket height just perfect. The bracket may block water from the prop (b/c it's an obstruction hanging 2" to 3" below the cavitation plate).
With a 22"/23" depth and a 25" shaft motor there is a little wiggle room to adjust the motor height up or down. |

Understand.. I am going to buy an extntion kit for the lower...to25 inches..if i need to..so with my 25in setback .. I can bring the bracket 2 inches... Just trying to figure out how high i need to mount the bracket to transom.. On your smaller brackets what is the height of the sides of the bracket .. Looks likecto be about 8-10 inches. From the chine of the bracket to the top of swim platform

The AV plate on my motor is 3.5" above keel in attached pic. I've since raised motor another 1" from where it was in this picture, and it looks like it needs to come up another inch to get the AV plate out of the water when on plane. I'd guess that an AV plate height of somewhere around 5 to 5'5" above keel would be about right for my rig, but that's with a 30" setback. With a 24" setback, you'd probably want to start out with an AV plate height of around 4", but mount the motor so you could later raise it 1 or 2 holes. Hope this helps. Denny
