Its just such a big expanse of floppy hullside. It will really make the boat feel alot "tighter". Not a strength thing just a feeling thing. Insulation for down below too for noise and condensation (the hull wont "sweat" inside now). They sides really arent much thicker (if any) than the 23 i have here now.

I used a 1/2" 5# pvc foam from Marex. Its basically Italian divinycell without the name markup. TDS properties are the same or better (not that im getting anywhere close to testing them with this boat though). Im no engineer either so those numbers dont mean alot to me, I just know itll work...
